Hope to see you over there!
If you are on my Facebook page, you have been following our adventures sans electricity ever since Saturday afternoon. It was quite the adventure and not one that I’d like to re-live anytime soon.
I am extremely excited to report that we HAVE POWER (and hot water, ample heat – you know, all those things you really take for granted until you are without). We are feeling extremely lucky as our anticipated turn-on time wasn’t until 11/2.
Many of our neighbors are still without power and the damage around here, especially to the trees, was severe.
In any case, thanks for bearing with less posts than normal. I was able to stay fairly caught up thanks to my wireless card, but my priorities were definitely elsewhere!
Hope everyone out there is safe and warm – I know we’re praying that this does NOT hint at the winter ahead.
Oh yeah, and Happy Halloween! We never did carve our pumpkin – looks like it will be a post-holiday activity.
And it’s even cooler when one of the firefighters on that truck is your Daddy.
Biker Bob is a volunteer fire fighter and today he was able to take some time off of work to help his fire company make their Fire Prevention Week visit to Lily Bean’s preschool.
Here are a couple of pics – I would have had more but my heart was too busy melting into a puddle.
