Whether you’re planning a trip to the Disney parks, or you just have some Disney fans to buy birthday and holiday gifts for, it sure would be nice to save a little money in the process, right?
Target actually offers TWO ways to pick up some Disney gift cards that you may not know about.
You can redeem Target gift cards towards the purchase Disney gift cards. Yup, that’s right. Some stores will not let you use a gift card to buy a new gift card, but Target allows this for Disney cards. Disney cards are actually categorized as “entertainment” by Target so it’s a nice little loophole that you can enjoy! We hang on to Target gift cards that we receive and before we head to Disney we use them to purchase Disney gift cards to spend in the parks!
Here’s how you can save 5% on your Disney gift card purchases. I know that 5% might not sound like a lot, but when you consider you can use these gift cards to pay off an entire vacation, it can really add up (seriously, I have friends who have redeemed more than 60 gift cards to pay of their trip balance)! 5% savings on a $2500 Disney vacation is $125!
You can use a Target Debit Card or a Target REDcard to purchase Disney gift cards. Target cardholders save 5% on all target purchases, INCLUDING DISNEY GIFT CARDS!!! You can choose between the Target debit card which acts exactly like your regular bank debit card. It is linked to your checking account and you can use it to make purchases at Target while enjoying Target cardholder benefits. There is also the Target REDcard which is their store credit card.
We’ll be using our Target store card to pick up a few discounted Disney gift cards before our next trip to the parks. They will come in handy to spend in the parks and to settle our resort balance before we check out!

Yes!! Sometimes you can definitely find them at wholesale clubs at a discount. Good option if you don’t have a Target store card!
