This is just too cool! We are definitely soda drinkers- Biker Bob more-so than myself, but we almost always have soda in the refrigerator. We were both pretty excited to have the chance to try out the SodaStream Genesis - a machine that allows you to make your own soda right from home.
The set comes with everything you need to get started, minus the flavored syrup which you can grab from
their website.
We found the SodaStream extremely easy to set up and even easier to use- in fact, we made a video review (below) literally after just having pulled the machine out of the box- no trial run!
Here’s what we liked the best about the SodaStream:
- Easy to use
- Fun to use
- Tastes good
- Cost (comes out to less than $1/2 liters, which is my stock up price for bottles)
- Quick
- Variety of Flavors
- Makes soda AND carbonated water
Here are a few things to consider:
- Need to buy syrup refills
- Need to refill CO2 when it runs out (cheap, but requires trip to store)
- Pick a model that will fit nicely with your counter space
