I know that I’ve already written a lot about how important it is to pair a coupon with a sale to get the most savings possible. There is one other tip that I want you to keep in mind when you shop: focus on the small size.
It’s hard to switch to this mentality. I have my Costco membership and there are definitely some things that are cheaper to buy in larger packages.
However, when it comes to getting things for free with coupons, you need to change your focus. Free is always free (repeat that). Free is always free. Many coupons do not have size restrictions on what you can buy, and can be used for the small or travel sized packages.
Check out the pictures below. I needed to buy sunscreen. Last year I purchased a large tube of Banana Boat sunscreen for $8.79. It is a 6 fl oz tube.
I was able to get FIVE 1 fl oz tubes EACH of Coppertone and Banana boat for FREE after coupons.
10 fl oz of sunscreen= FREE. And since free is always free, I win!
